Maintenance Manager
Sears Holdings Corporation (Distribution Center) - Greensboro, NC (03/07–Present)
Maintenance Manager responsible for all phases of maintenance including a 1.6M sq. ft. facility,
nine miles of conveyor and other systems, $0.5M spare parts inventory, a fleet of over 200
motorized material handling equipment and company vehicles (fleet management), and 160 acres
of grounds maintenance. Manage staff of 40+. Report to the location’s highest officer, the General
Manager. Member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Reorganized the department and developed associates to build a highly skilled and
experienced maintenance team, including supervisors, in a union environment
• Reduced conveyor deficiencies, audited by an outside firm, by 96% (accomplished by
implementing procedures and process improvements year after year)
• Achieved a conveyor uptime metric (KPI) of 99.8% on a goal of 99.5%
• Implemented diligent control measures on a $0.5M inventory resulting in a six year
average inventory variance of 1.19% on a goal of 3% (January 2015 YE was 0.86%)
• Produced a monthly forecast with an annual budget of $2.5M; Analyzed the P&L and
submitted the capital and expense request for the building

• Traveled to the Thailand plant to develop processes, procedures, and manage repairs for
the coating line resulting in an increased average yield from 40% to 90%
• Engineered, proposed, and installed new production equipment in Thailand

production without sacrificing quality or increasing labor costs; Received the Achievement

job/change order cost. Created and maintained a job tracking database for the entire Electrical
