PROJECTS

Honeypot in Software Defined Networks (SDN) [Floodlight, Python] Fall 2014

Developed a honeypot client (decoy) for the SDN controller to receive the incoming attacks.

The whole network architecture including the h osts, attacker, controller and the honeypot was hosted in the Openstack.

The Load balancer as a service (LBaaS) of openstack was used to load balance th e incoming attack between two VM

nodes running the honeypot.

The created honeypot collects details abou t the attack including source IP address, traceroute of incoming packets and

command logs executed on the honeypot.

Dynamic Reconfiguration of Networks based on security events (SDN) [Open Daylight, Python] Fall 2014

Developed a network with SDN that can identify the incoming security attack.

Created an Intrusion prevention system that uses deep packet inspection (DPI) to identify the attack flow packets and

can also drop the same.

The developed IPS and IDS systems is capable of preventing DoS, IP Spoofing, MAC flooding and man in the middle

attack.

Concurrent Multiple Client Server in OpenStack [C, Python] Spring 2014

Developed a Concurrent server to handle requests from its multiple clients. It is a server used by students to access the

course materials after the professor has uploaded to the server.

Created a client for accessing the server. The server was implemented and run in OpenStack, Amazon AWS, and

Microsoft Azure. The created server was testing for conc urrency with 100 clients.

The performance of the server under different loads was measured using the open source tool Jmeter.

Software Defined Network (SDN) [Java, Python] Fall 2013

Developed a custom topology software defined network using python code in mininet.

Created an open flow controller using floodlight. Customized floodlight using Java code to support QoS to specific

packets. The created virtual network was tested and its performance at different loads was recorded.

Windows Phone 7 .5, 8 and Windows 8 App development [C#, xaml ] Spring 2013

Developed t en (10) Windows Phone apps and Windows 8 apps using C# and xaml for app engines and user interface.

All apps namely “Electronica, Electronica Pro, Inductonica, Bottle Xylophone, Password Meter, Intelligent Quotient, How

Stuff Works, Electronic Hub, Roll ‘ em and Score Mate” have been successfully published in marketplace .

Open sourced the app “Electronica” in github.
