PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I started my nursing career here in the USA in 2005 as a Charge Nurse where I gained my knowledge, skills and experience in doing direct patient care, documentation and collaboration with various disciplines to promote the health of my patients. In July 2009 to October 2011, my managerial skills was placed into test when I became a Director of Nursing. I am proud to say that my short stint as a DON was a success on my professional growth and accomplishments. My heart missed direct patient care and I decided to go back to doing it by being an Assistant Director of Nursing. And in December 2012, I accepted the position of Case/Team Manager with Vitas and experienced direct patient care in a home health setting and managing staff. My experiences have made me what I am as a nurse today. A nurse that understands what management expects from staff in providing care that meets legal and ethical standards.
