This project is one for data mining course at Wharton, which aims at predicting viewership for popular
TV programs based on twitter.my responsibility includes:
Preparing data for modeling (decision tree) by using python API to collect twitter data and organize them
by time and genre; building different decision tree models using train datasets and validate on test datasets
and evaluating best decision tree model based on model.

In this project, I use twitter streaming API and tweepy for data collection, MongoDB, flask and Redis for
data organizing and storage, jQuery Eventsource, Google Maps API for creating web-based map. This
map could be used to illustrate different hash tags by different colors to see the topic trend in different
areas and visualize tweets on specific topics in certain regions to analyze activeness of users based on
demographic data.
