Experienced Supervisor: Twelve years of supervisory experience of which ten were in
the paper industry. Duties included training, scheduling, inventory control, and
Human Resources. Supervised paper mill crews, maintenance crews, boiler room
crews and battery packaging lines. .
Computers: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
Dreamweaver.
Safety: Safety Facilitator at Rock-Tenn for two years, co-captaining the Board Mill
Safety Action Team. Member of the Divisional Rotating Equipment Safety Team
traveling to the six mills in the uncoated division to access and solve safety concerns.
Featured Speaker at the TAPPI conference in 1995 on Rock-Tenn Lynchburg Mill
safety program. We also received the Pulp and Paper award for Best Safety Record
in our division in 1995, 1996, and 1997.
Lean: Working to merge SMX into Energizer’s CI programs, I have taken the Small
k participation from 10% to 41%, have been involved in the 4 step thinking process,
and have used job combinations to save Energizer 25k per year.

07/2014 to 01/2015 Graphic Packaging Kalamazoo, MI
PAPER SUPERVISOR
Supervised the K1 paper machine making coated box board for the food packaging
industry. The K1 machine produces 1100 tons per day. Responsible for making sure the
T-Cards are being properly used by the hourly employees. On the off shifts I am in charge
of converting and stock preparation. There are approximately 35 employees on shift. I
have received Safe Start, Donnic and management training with Graphic Packaging.

ACCOUNT MANAGER
SMX recruits, hires, trains and supervises tier one jobs at the Energizer Plant in
Bennington, VT. I am in charge of a crew of 50 people on four different battery packing
lines at the Bennington facility. We make sure the quality of the packed batteries meets
Energizer’s criteria. I handle payroll, safety, HR, IT and manage 130 employees.
06/2003 to 08/201 The ORR Felt Company Piqua, OH
SERVICE ENGINEER
Providing technical service for customers and potential customers. I was Responsible
for felt installations and various technical studies to the paper machine before our
product was recommended. Help customers troubleshoot machine issues and help
provide solutions. Assisted in the payment plans for participating mills and ORR Felt
Company. Responsible for customer inventories, coordinating current and up-to-date
purchase orders were on file, and coordinating the start of new product into production.
I preformed service to Tissue machines, Cylinder machines, fourdrinier machines. In
addition to ORR Papermakers Felts I also serviced the fabrics for Filcon Forming
Fabrics and Rodewisch Dryer Fabrics as both are affiliated with the ORR Felt
Company. My territory included the Northeastern states and Southern Canada.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Supervised 2 Fourdrinier paper machines making text and cover grades. During the
afternoon and night shift, supervised converting and laminator operation with
approximately 60 people on shift at one time. The last 3 months in this position, acting
maintenance supervisor on day shift.

BOARDMILL FOREMAN
Deploying a two-foreman team concept, supervising 2 eight-cylinder board machines,
one 136” and one 121”. Wet and dry calendar stacks, 3 pulpers and 2 hydra-purge
systems including a combi-sorter. Using DLK, OCC, news, magazine and label stock for
furnish. Supervising tour maintenance, assigning daily jobs. Completed DuPont STOP
safety course, DDI management course, Zenger Miller and Kepner-Treoe Training. Rock-
Tenn produces 16 to 46 caliper paperboard, partition stock, cone stock and lined board.

MACHINE TENDER
Participated in original start-up of mill. I was the fill-in foreman to supervise a crew of
10. Directed maintenance operations on afternoon and night shifts since mill had no
maintenance department. Helped modify the pickup felt to reduce downtime. Mixed dye
for color and controlled on machine using the computer system. Made starch and anti-stat
for our size press. Calibrated and used lab equipment. Operated a 110” Fourdrinier
making virgin paper for our company’s annual report, and various recycled grades.
10/1986 to 03/1991 Interstate Intercorr Reading, PA
BACKTENDER WINDER
Re-wound the rolls off two paper machines and responsible for size, diameter, and
integrity of the roll being produced. Cross trained on the #2 paper machine that was of a
cylinder / fourdrinier combination. I started in this mill as a general helper in 1986 and
worked my way up through the union ranks to fill in machine tender. Experienced in
operation of fork trucks and clamp trucks, loading of rail cars and tractor trailers with
paper rolls, and bailed corrugated waste from the plant attached to the mill
.

GROUP LEAD
I started in this plant as a material handler who was responsible for three of the four
plant departments. My duties included moving finished product to loading dock and
assist the truck driver in loading the truck. I unloaded all incoming materials and
distributed to storage trailers for later department distribution. When not busy with the
material handling duties. I worked in the single lead, AOB, shipping, assembly
departments doing various jobs. Promoted to Group Leader of the AOB department and
was responsible for setting up all jobs, including training the operator on each
assignment.
