POUND Based Load Balancing With High Availability Clustering

The Pound is a highly scalable and highly available server built on a cluster of real server,

with the more than one load balancer running on the Linux operating system. The

architecture of the server cluster is fully transparent to end users. The servers cannot be

made to span networks, they need to be located at one place, but this gives the

capability of high speed load balancing. It deals with the strong request handling

capabilities of POUND based clustering. Real servers run at the back-end providing the

request handling with the director is provided with a fail-over server
