Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist
. Collaborate with the FAA and Gallup to rollout a nationwide Workforce
Engagement policy as a facilitator. One of a select few chosen to travel
across the country to introduce and instruct FAA facilities on the Gallup
Workforce Engagement initiative. This initiative is a management/employee
collaboration, and was extremely successful in such agencies as NASA.
. Ensure that both union leaders and management fully understand the
Workforce Engagement process to get buy in to the resulting
collaboration, creating an open line of communication between employees
and management.
. Provide direct supervision of a 15 person crew, over four States.
Responsible for ensuring the overall safety of the flying public and
general equipment monitoring. As an ATC supervisor, managed any emergency
situation that occurred in designated airspace.
. Maintained currency on ATC positions, working directly with the ATC.
Corrected subordinates quarterly which includes meeting with each
employee to discuss performance.
. Ensured that all ATC trainees met minimum weekly training requirements,
and assisted the training teams when necessary.
. Developed, organized, and scheduled ATC refresher training, as a fully
certified FAA facilitator/instructor. Conducted training classes in all
FAA facilities.
. Great Lakes Regional Director for FAA Manager's Association. Represented
all FAA Managers in the Great Lakes Region, brought local issues to
National FAA Headquarters.
