WORK SYNOPSIS
I have a diverse multi-tasking work background in areas of manufacturing including supervisory
and management; research and development; and turnkey project design, construction, and
maintenance; with little or no supervision. I often performed multiple highly technical and
management positions simultaneously, often under emergency conditions. I have experience with
several of the dominant corporations in their respective manufacturing fields. I have worked with
organic, inorganic, batch, and continuous processes.
WORK HISTORY
9/2011 to Present - SERVICE WRITER, WAL-MART - I prepare service orders and perform minor
maintenance on automobiles.
4/94 to 7/2010 - OWNER/ENGINEER, CLEARWATER ENGINEERING; KINGSPORT, TN - I
performed all engineering functions associated with subdivision, site, and water and sewer projects in my
own business and as a temporary with other engineering firms. I hold US Patent 7,367,479 B2.
4/89 to 4/94 - PLANT ENGINEER, CYPRUS FOOTE MINERAL CO., DUFFIELD, VA - As part of
a comprehensive plant upgrade, I conceptualized, and supervised pilot testing and design of a new lithium
hydroxide process, a reverse osmosis process, a turnkey a new Foxboro I/A DCS process control system,
a product cooling system, a product packaging system, multiple pump stations, environmental,
maintenance and quality projects. - In addition to Engineer, I was acting plant manager for two years,
acting production manager for two years, and acting maintenance supervisor for two years. I performed
in-process inventory and process troubleshooting. I received a company award for dedication.
6/87 to 4/89 - PROCESS ENGINEER, ALPHA RESINS, 19991 SEATON AVE., PERRIS, CA . - I
worked on design of a comprehensive polyester resin plant upgrade, including preparation of PFD’s,
PID’s., and detailed plans. I coordinated major maintenance projects including rebuilding the inert gas
generator, distillate system, and coordinated maintenance during plant outages.
9/85 to 6/87 - PROJECT MANAGER, ETC ENGINEERS, 1510 S. BROADWAY, LITTLE ROCK,
AR - I performed design and management of two complete city wastewater projects and one highway
project. I was on-site construction manager for a fiberglass nitroglycerin transmission system.
6/81 to 9/85 - MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE, US STEEL, FAIRFIELD AL; USS CHEMICALS,
JACKSONVILLE, AR - I was blast furnace production supervisor until plant shutdown. I was then
transferred to computer programming for new seamless tubing mill. I was later transferred to a process
engineering position in the chemical division in Jacksonville, AR, where I performed project design and
management, production scheduling, and process formulation standardization.
