• A VoIP-based unified communications platform over IPv6.
• Asterisk IP-PBX was used to realize the telephony aspect of the project.
• The system has been successfully implemented in the Department of Computing,
E ngineering and Technology of the University of Sunderland, with promising results.
Resources Used: 2811 Routers, Windows XP, Windows 7, VMware, Vir tual Box, IP-

MSc Laboratory Module: LANs and WANs 2012
• Successfully built a large network consisting of 4 routers and several switches, with
both static and EIGRP routing protocols in place.
• V LAN was also implemented, along with other networking features such as DHCP,
PPP-CHAP authentication and NAT & PAT.

• A multicast network with PIM sparse-dense mode was built, consisting of 5 routers

t he other branches are located in Mumbai and Delhi and are maintained remotely via VPN.
* The internal network consists of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco routers, Cisco L3 Switches, HP,
L inksys, Dlink L2 switches, HP servers, n number of users and access points for Wireless
connectivity.
* We have our IVR Servers over 40 Countr ies and are connected by VPN tunnel.
* Monitoring is done on a daily Basis by the L1 team.
* Cyberoam is served as the proxy and a daily report based on the users browsing history is
being monitored where all the users are connected to the internet via the Cyberoam. So User
accounts are created on the Cyberoam.
* VPN is created on the ASA Firewall with the IOS 9.1 and is done over the ASDM version 7.1.
* Policy based routing is configured on the Cisco 2811 routers.
* In ter Vlans are created on the Cisco 3560 L3 switch. Three Vlan groups are created for the
Users, Servers and the Storage devices respectively.
