Experience:

1. From November 13th 2005 to present time employed at BP's joint venture

in Egypt, GUPCO (Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company), as a Procurement and

Supply Chain Specialist, performing mainly onshore and offshore

construction contracts, platform repair contracts, hire of vessel

contracts, and purchase and installation of equipment contracts.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

a) Strategic liaison with technical departments to develop supply chain

strategy and solutions in accordance with yearly production programme;

b) Responsibility for preparation and issuance of requests for proposals to

all bidders in a tender as per planned procurement strategy;

c) Ownership of and responsibility for the overall tender process from the

approval of the purchase requisition to the final award and contract

signature and distribution to all stakeholders;

d) Responsibility for determining appropriate contract terms and conditions

for specific purchases, including amending contract special conditions as

required for each purchase and in some cases tailoring new contracts from

scratch;

e) As member of the commercial evaluation team formed to evaluate bidder

proposals (local and international), responsible for developing

appropriate commercial evaluation models for each tender;

f) Responsibility for making comparisons between bidder proposals, in terms

of technical specification, legal qualifications to company terms and

conditions, and commercial terms and prices;

g) Responsibility for making detailed reports to senior management with

recommendations to award service and materials contracts to successful

bidders (local and international);

h) Serving as single point of communication in negotiations over

contractual terms and conditions with local and international suppliers

and contractors;

i) Responsibility for setting up and leading negotiation meetings between

company internal stakeholders (legal dept., engineering dept., projects

dept., etc.) and suppliers/contractors with the aim of reaching agreement

on all contractual terms;

j) All the time ensuring that procurement targets are met for each

financial quarter in terms of delivery, price and quality, while

continuously improving procurement tools and techniques;

k) Responsibility for delivering professional contract and procurement

support to the various technical departments;

with suppliers and contractors (reverse marketing, especially for seller-

market services);

of Key Performance Indicators and periodic supplier/contractor review

agreements;

q) Maintenance, review (and extension if deemed necessary) of evergreen and

current contracts;

r) Coordination with legal counsel and finance department on legal and

financial matters as required;

s) Maintenance and review of contracts database.

Main Achievements:

a) Have been successful in promoting the importance and benefits of better

communication across our newly-formed Supply Chain Team, by talking our

Team Leaders and other team members into including a fortnightly team

meeting in our Performance Contract as an evergreen target;

b) Chaired a successful brainstorming session that generated excellent

ideas on how to develop team identity within our team;

c) Have successfully prepared, negotiated and executed a number of key

contracts both for onshore and offshore projects;

d) Have successfully revamped and approved the terms and conditions of our

call-out onshore construction contract;

e) Have presented a project, as part of CIPS training, showing major means

of savings in the supply of pipe-laying services.

2. Was employed from February 13th 2005 to October 13th 2005 at Leoni

Wiring Systems Egypt, a multinational firm based in Germany specialized

in the manufacture and export of electric harnesses for the automotive

industry. Customers included BMW, Land Rover, Ford, Jaguar, Porsche.

Title: Procurement Assistant, Supply Chain Department.

Responsibilities in brief:

a) Responsible for procuring raw material inside factory on time for

production flow as per a weekly run Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

System, achieved through liaising with foreign suppliers, MRP system

analysis and inventory management.

b) Responsible for manually deriving weekly factory requirements of

consumable items not run on the MRP system, and preparation and issuance

of their orders to suppliers.

c) Responsible for making decisions as to means of transport of materials

from suppliers and freight forwarder consolidation points, depending on

analysis of freight cost and material urgency.

3. Worked part time for three months in the field of telesales, the calls

directed to US and UK customers.

4. Attended an in-company Contract Writing training session based on

English Law given by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) on March 6

2007. Thereby holding a 7-hour continued education certificate from ISM.

5. Was a trainee at the Finance Department of The Gulf of Suez Petroleum

Company (GUPCO), during the summers of 2002 and 2003; the first year in

the Payroll Division, the second in the Costing and Closing Division.
