Role & Responsibility (Electrical Maintenance)

. Maintenance & Handling of all electrical work of Turbine & auxiliaries

i.e. CW pumps, ACW pumps, Condensers, MOPs, AOPs, EOPs, Cooling towers,

DM plant, Dearators, UCFT, Clarifiers, Reservoirs, Ash dumping sites,

etc..

. Maintenance & Handling all electrical work of Coal handling plant such

crushers, CM screen, FF screen, vibro feeders, Truck

unloaders, Belt conveyors, SILO equipments such as ash conditioners, vent

filters.

. Maintenance & handling of all electrical work of Cooling tower, boiler

startup, water treatment system, chlorine plant, transformer charging

activity, Commissioning work of PMCC panel, motors etc.

. Maintenance & handling of all electrical work of Boiler Area, ESP, AHP

area.

. Overall maintenance of ESP fields, transformers, rectifier panels and

rapping motors.

. Recommendation of supplier (for Electrical and control portion) for

Motors, Transformers, MCC.

. Operation, maintenance and testing of HT and LT switch gears of ACB,

VCB,SF6.

. Preventive operation and maintenance of Substation with its all auxiliary

equipments, MCC panel through auto and manual selection.

. Operation & maintenance of DC drives, AC drives.

. Transformer & switchgears i.e. Breakers (HT & LT), Protection relays.

. Power & Control wiring of various LT drives.

. Ensuring safety and industrial hygiene in maintenance and production

activities.

. Initiating proper start up and shut down activities for planned and

unplanned shutdowns/start ups.

Shift Management (Responsibilities)

< Planning and effectuating predictive & preventive maintenance schedules

for various equipment to increase machine up time, shutdown activities &

equipment reliability

< Implementing maintenance schedules and carrying out periodic checks to

ensure performance of various equipment and maintaining requisite

documents for the same.

< Planning & implementing preventive & breakdown maintenance schedules for

improving overall reliability, safety and reduction of breakdown time.

< Preparing Breakdown Analysis Report to identify gaps & take corrective

measures so as to reduce equipment downtime & maximise plant

availability.

< Monitoring and optimising processes, troubleshooting problems in

coordination with other departments and improving efficiency.

< Effectuating rollout activities along with the maintenance schedules to

increase the up-time and reliability of the equipments.

< Identifying areas of obstruction / defects and conducting service and

repair to rectify the equipments through the application of

troubleshooting tools.
