. Specific EDI transaction types introduced/enhanced were 850, 855, 860,
856, & 810 using EDI Trusted Link software. The data flows in and out
of the MAPICS software package via custom RPG400 coded programs for
any specialty considerations CANPLAS customers required outside of the
normal mapping of data.

System. This new version reduced staffing requirements for

up the overall process.

. Served on a development team for an Equal Payment Plan system in SYNON
that estimated the next season's delivery volume and distributed
payments over 11 installments. The system also checked midseason, the
actual consumption against the estimate, allowing adjustments to the
remaining payments. Thus finishing the heating season as close to a
zero balance as possible.
. Served on a development team for the Propane Receipt and Transfer
system written in SYNON. This system controls the movement of propane
receipts and transfers between branches.
. Served on a team developing reports and inquiry programs to analyse
business efficiencies: propane levels and demands, displayed volumes
sold and forecasted order requirements. Delivery efficiency report
showed the worst 5 deliveries and indicated where improvements in a
scheduled customer routing could be made. Daily sales report inquiry
for specific day or month.
SANYO CANADA INC. (Electronic-Distribution) / (1992-1994)
Senior Programmer/Analyst
. Developed a contribution analysis system that allows management to
assess sales and profits at several levels (customer, product group,
product class and item number), and tracks customer programs affecting
contribution offered by the sales group.
. Coordinated and maintained Sanyo's EDI systems using the Premenos-
TrustedLink package. This included setup of trading partners,
translation formats and the maintenance of the RPGIII conversion
program placing orders into order entry.
. Worked on a 3 person team to develop an automatic pricing system
working with order entry, that significantly reduced the manual effort
from the order desk by pricing all orders regardless of whether the
customer had contract prices or a promo was in effect.
