Work Experience
Raytheon Technical Services Company Indianapolis, IN): (Dec 2008 – Present)
I currently work as a Project Manager for an $18 Billion defense contractor. I am
responsible for leading a technical team (Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineers)
t ransform customer needs into tested products that help the warfighter. I conduct
engineering project planning (including scheduling and cost estimating), managing day-to-
day project technical execution--responsible for achieving cost, schedule and performance
t argets, communicating project status including earned value results, financial summary,
p roject accomplishments, and r isks/opportunities. Previously at Raytheon I was the lead
Systems Engineer executing a $50 million dollar Air Force contract upgrading a f leet of
m ilitary jet aircraft (A-10 and F-16) with advanced weapon cueing systems. I have worked
for major defense customers such as the US Air Force, DARPA, and the Air National Guard
and maintain an active security clearance. Raytheon has been awarded numerous
government contracts as a result of projects my team helped to estimate, propose, and
u ltimately execute. I also led teams on several product development and selling efforts (on
t ime and within budget). As a result, some of these systems have been featured on CNN,
and other news organizations. As a founding member of YESNet, a Raytheon organization
for on-boarding and social activities, I have successfully t rained and mentored many
aspiring engineers. As helmet mounted display subject matter expert I have submit ted
many invention disclosures both cooperatively and individually. Raytheon has filed two of
t hese for patents. The first is a method to isolate the area of likely missile launch site using
existing aircraft sensors, and display this in a helmet mounted augmented reality display.
T he second is a way to use a helmet mounted display in a cockpit to interact with f light and
m ission controls. Raytheon has graciously given two personal achievement awards for my
customer interactions and technical prowess at Air Force Weapons and Tactics Conferences,
t he Association of the US Army in Washington D.C. and an education conference in K ing
Saud University, Saudi Arabia where I appeared on national television. I am published and
have presented on mult iple source situational awareness and three dimensional audio at
t he Raytheon National Systems Engineering Conference in Dallas.
Dekko, Inc. (Indianapolis, IN Jan 2004 – Dec 2008)
I managed 10 employees in software engineering, electrical design, IT, electrical
subassembly, testing, and final production of pay by credit card style propane exchange
k iosks used nationwide at Home Depots, Walgreens, and at Wal-mart Canada. Besides
engineering and projection management, experiences at Dekko included systems
engineering, PC and embedded software development, printed circuit board design,,
subcontractor oversight website design and administration, pneumatic controls design, UL
p roduct certification, database administration, inventory control, mechanical design, point
of sale and credit card code development.
Horner Advanced Products Group (Indianapolis, IN Dec 1999 - Jan 2004)
Worked as an Application Engineer for a maker of digital electronics for industrial
automation - I was a customer contact and performed t roubleshooting of system
p rogramming and wir ing implementations. I also proposed new systems. Duties included
P LC and other types of programming, and hands-on integration in the field and in the
office to secure new sales.
Recommendations
“Eric Moore is a thoughtful and intelligent engineer with a keen mind for project management and an
excellent perspective on the product development process. In my time working with Eric, I have received
exceptional mentoring from him on project management skills and procedure construction. Eric is self-
motivated and passionate about his work. Although often busy, he is never reluctant to help new
engineers learn about the company, the team, and the development cycle. Eric's ability to provide careful
and cogent criticism makes him an invaluable lead in engineering circles. I would recommend Eric for any
position which requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills and an eye for
detail.” A ugust 22, 2012
