Every successful leader has learned what works and what does not. Every
successful leader has cleared several high hurdles and tripped over a few. Every
great leader from different respects had to yield to the same universal laws of a
tedious yet positive course.
There are many laws we as humans take for granted, like, the law of gravity
and the law of breathing air. Yet, different environments provide different laws.
The law of gravity has been broken successful many times, as well as the law for
humans to breath clean air where air doesn’t exist. But more often than can be
calculated, “law” won the battle of the attempt to be broken.
With man made equipment, the courageous soared to outer space and
into the deep recesses of the earth while engulfed by ocean water. Different
environments, different laws. If equipment happens to malfunction and is
rendered useless, the law of the environment will restore it’s order as it collects
from the risk taken.
For the rest of us who aren’t curious to see the lowest point of the ocean
floor or wish to pierce the bubble into the outer unknown, we still have laws.
This brings me to my point. There is one major law that cannot be broken
as a person seeks success, “the law of perseverance.” Perseverance is often
converted to the law of failure by one stifling decision, “I quit.” This is where a
successful leader the likes of Attorney Tim Tate can contribute to those standing
near the door to an environment not suitable for human “life.”
