and performance management solution for carrier and provider environments,

and is responsible for provisioning and managing a network of performance

test points called Brix Verifiers. Administrators use the Web-based

BrixWorx Operations Center to completely control all aspects of system

operation-from the specification of service-level objectives, to scheduling

tests, configuring Brix Verifier settings, and creating detailed

performance reports.

In addition, BrixWorx provides automatic service-level auditing and

compliance analysis, sophisticated real-time and historical reporting

capabilities, integration APIs, and storage for performance data.

Roles and Responsibilities:

. Defining the scope of testing, Planning, deploying, and managing the

testing effort for any given engagement / release.

. Involved in different types of Brix Verifier's configuration,

Installation of Brixworx test set up.

. Designed and implemented entire Lab set up as a private network.

. Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing

results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered

and their status, performance baselines etc.

. Test Execution of service active tests, Network active tests and

passive tests for different VOIP calls like H323, SIP, MGCP, H248,

RTP, NCS...etc and verified the performance (RTP packets statistics,

Call performance statistics and MOS degradations) of calls.

. Monitoring and capturing different VOIP calls data from network

traffic using passive verifiers.

. Test execution of Brixworx applications like Ping, HTTP active,

TCP/UDP echo test, DNS active, FTP active tests and verify network

statistics (Latency, Jitter, RTP Statistics, Call Measurements... etc)

for all applications for six (Release 7.2, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.3.1,

8.4, 8.5 and 8.6) regression cycles.

. Tested the functionality of the Expert VoIP Test Tool application to

generate VoIP calls (SIP, H323 and H248) from EXFO's FTB-1 platform to

another EXFO FTB-1 platform or any IP phone.

. Expert VoIP Test Tool : Test execution of H323 service active test,

H248 service active tests, SIP Service Active Test, SIP Network Active

Test (RTP statistics and call performance statistics, MOS

degradations) on Expert VoIP Test Tool Application

. Expert IP Test Tool: Test Execution of Ping, HTTP Availability, FTP

Performance, VLAN Scan and LAN Discovery Tests on Expert IP Test Tool.

. Verified NID (RAD, MRV and Raisecom) devices Integration with BrixWorx

using SNMP: NID Integration with Brixworx is providing more visibility

into network topology, network elements inventory, network performance

and network capacity a very efficient approach is to gather

information and metrics from the devices already present in the

network. It is an extensible SNMP engine to be included and used for

SNMP polling/provisioning and integration capabilities.

. Verified the Jaguar application (Bytesphere) is polling the values

from SNMP devices during the discovery using SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and

SNMPv3.

. Executed the discovery of 10,000 RAD devices with SNMP protocol using

WebNMS simulator tool

. Port Basis Test: Tested the Port and Interface counters that provide

utilization and error metrics (Tx/Rx frames, frames size, error frames

like CRC error frames, oversized frames etc).

. Flow Basis Test: Tested the traffic conditioning counters that provide

information on queuing, shaping, and/or policing functions that are

applied to the traffic carried by an EVC.

. Verified the traffic classification counters that count the number of

frames and bytes sent and received by specific classes of flows

. Verified the statistics like the percentage of frames

(Green/Yellow/Red) discarded because the traffic conditioner decided

they exceeded the EIR and EBS set for their COS within this EVC.

. OAM Test: Test execution of OAM test and measure the frame statistics

like Frame loss, frame delay, frame delay variation based on OAM test

configuration.

. Test execution of Interface test, CPU Utilization Test, Memory Test

and Storage Test.

. Understanding and developing the system level functional test plans,

Execution of test cases, Defect detection, reporting, tracking the

issues along with prioritization and impact analysis of the defect.
