Doha Qatar Expressway

is located within the urban environment of Doha.

• A 20-km long East West Corridor, aimed at reducing pressure on routes to the new airport;

• A bypass for Wakrah, and a redesign of the road that passes through the town;

Sothern Expressway (Adelaide) – Storm Drainage

The $407.5 million duplication of the Southern Expressway is a key part of the development of Adelaide's north-south

corridor and, when complete, will deliver an 18.5 kilometre multi-lane, two-way expressway between Bedford Park

and Old Noarlunga by mid-2014.

Landscaping elements being developed for the duplicated expressway include:

• revegetation and amenity plantings

• shared use pathways

• stormwater basins

• noise walls

Regional Rail Link (RRL) Package E, Deer Park to West Werribee Junction Vic, Australia

Baulderstone and Leighton Joint Venture (BLJV) (D&C Contract)

The Regional Rail Link is a major new rail line that will separate regional trains from metropolitan trains, increasing

capacity and reliability, between Melbourne (Southern Cross Station) and West Werribee. A Hyder and Aurecon joint

venture will design Package E under a design and construct contract for BLJV. BLJV’s client is Transport Victoria.

Package E includes 25 kilometres of new rail tracks, road upgrades and grade separations at road intersections, new rail

bridges across Werribee River, Lollypop Creek, Davis Creek and Skeleton Creek, a railway cutting between Ballan

Road and Lollypop Creek and two new stations at Tarneit and Wyndham Vale.

M80 Ring Road Upgrade,Tulla Sydney Alliance

The Tulla Sydney Alliance, a partnership between VicRoads, Thiess, Parsons Brinkerhoff and Hyder, was awarded the

first contract of works for the Victorian and Australian Government’s $2.25 billion upgrade of the M80 Ring Road.

The M80 Ring Road Upgrade extends 38 kilometres, from the Princes Freeway at Laverton North to the

Greensborough Highway at Greensborough. The project will improve safety, ease congestion, reduce travel times and

improve reliability for all road users.

The upgrade is being carried out in stages, with the most congested sections and those with the worst safety record

being upgraded first. Tulla Sydney Alliance is delivering 9.7 kilometres of the upgrade between Calder Freeway and

Sydney Road.

The Tulla Sydney Alliance works will include:

- Widening to three lanes in each direction with a fifth and sixth lane between some interchanges

- Intelligent transport systems such as ramp metering and variable message signs to manage traffic flow

- Reconfigured freeway interchanges and entry and exit ramps

- Landscape planting and urban design features

The Westall Rail Upgrade project involves works within the Dandenong rail corridor to improve service

• A significant upgrade to Westall Station including a third platform, 80 extra car spaces and

improvements to passenger facilities, safety and accessibility;

Melrose Drive Upgrade

In October 2006 the Victorian State government announced an $8 million upgrade to ease congestion and

improve safety at the intersections of Melrose Drive / Mascoma Street / Westfield Drive and Dromana Avenue /

Matthew Avenue. The Project is being delivered by the Tullamarine Calder Interchange, an Alliance between

Vicroads, BaulderstoneHornibrook and Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Dynon Port Rail-Link

Track civil & signal detailed design and documentation for major rail lik into Port of Melbourne from Dynon

Freight Terminal. Works also includes existing assets condition assessment, stakeholder interaction and

structural risk management.

Dandenong Creek Wetland

Detailed design of artificial wetlands along dandenong creek between dandenong southern bypass and the

future Eastlink bridge crossing. Design follows on from work undertaken by PB related to the widening of

dandenong creek of Eastlink project.

Tullamarine Calder Interchange Project

Works commenced on a major upgrading where the Tullamarine and Calder Freeways merged adjacent to

Essendon Airport 10 km north of Melbourne. The project is being planned, designed and constructed under an

alliance agreement between Vicroads, BaulderstoneHornibrook and Parsons Brinkerhoff.

Environmental Upgrades to Terminal Station

Design and contract documentation of storm water interception, containment treatment and discharge system

across 13 terminal station thought Victoria.

Mitcham Frankston Freeway

Tender Bid for Connect East Construct – Drafting of 21 km of dual 2 to 4 lane median separated main

carriageway. A feature of the PB design was an 80km/h freeway to freeway interchange connecting the MFF to

an upgrade of the Monash Freeway and also a double grade separation for the Princes Highway Interchange

and Heatherton Road.
