a Linux system administrator which will help me to enrich my technical

skills and to take up greater responsibilities that will enable me to use

. In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system functionality, user and

group management and permissions, file systems, and server hardware.

. Disk management using fdisk and storage concepts such as RAID, LVM.

. Installing and configuring applications like Apache, Postfix, Exim.

. Good Experience with openvz virtualization.

. Package installation and management using source, Yum, RPM, Version

controlling using SVN

. Experience in installing and configuring different applications on

Linux and Windows(Apache Tomcat, Media Servers, Web based CMS)

. Remote system management using RDP, SSH, IPMI, iKVM.

Cloud and Openstack :

. Installing and configuring Openstack application with Packstack

method.

. Foreman technique of installing and configuring openstack platform on

servers.

. Creating and managing tenants, projects and users via graphical

interface.

. Configure networking service for instances on openstack, assigning IP

blocks.

. Creating and handling instances through Horizon web front-end.

. Install/configure various openstack components manually like qpid,

glance, swift storage, cinder block storage service, nova compute.

. Managing projects and users commandline, assigning roles to them, etc.

Jr Systems Engineer

. Remote management of windows and linux servers using IPMI, KVM,

SSH and RDP.

. Installation, configuration, managing & troubleshooting Linux

servers running Apache, Bind, Exim, MySQL, FTP, PHP.

. Monitoring servers and dealing with server downs, service

failures and resource shortages, high load, high disk space,

spamming and DOS attacks.

. Auditing servers, checking for server health and security. The

audits include various checks, log analysis and cleanup,

checking disk space, backups, security checks using various
