Innate math ability: Placed first in Advanced Engineering Mathematics
course (2003) and received four year college scholarship for placement in
MathCounts as State Champion of Colorado (1999).
Senior Design Project, Chemical Engineering: Examined economics of
alternative uses of wet spent grain. Built models of physical processes to
establish design parameters and optimize performance.
Senior Research, Chemistry: Tracked hydrogen peroxide sample through
decomposition and dilution by using analytical titrimetry and atomic
emissions and absorptions.
CSM EPICS Engineering Design Project: Worked in a group environment to
complete feasibility study, SolidWorks presentation, and design
calculations for a small scale biofuel processing plant.
Addditional coursework: Design, start-up, and maintenance of natural gas
