Worked as an Oracle Database administrator and my responsibility was to support 150 oracle databases by acting as a direct
point of contact ( POC ) for clients in USA, Singapore and China.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gathering requirements/concerns from the clients and analysing them to provide solutions with in stipulated time
frame.
• Carried out several critical Oracle upgradation activities, Reorg activities, Export/Import activities using Data pump
feature and performance reviews of problematic SQL queries.
Key Assignments/ Initiatives:
• Worked as Interim Team leader for 8 months and brought in new initiatives like automation of all manual Unix jobs,
documentation of major activities.
• Introduced a standardised and effective addressing system for high severity issues from clients.
• Mentored 2 new resources in team and helped them accustom to the team.

Project Brief:
• Understanding how the soft luggage industry is progressing in Southern India and to find out the opportunities for
safari industries to increase its market penetration and existing distribution network by travelling to the major cities and towns
in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

• Suggesting a Marketing plan for launching safari backpacks in southern India by capturing consumer insights, market
insights and competition insights.
Objectives:
• To conduct primary research for gathering customer requirements, insights regarding the customer purchasing
patterns, price points & discounts being offered by competitors to Multi Brand Outlets ( MBOs) .
• To conduct primary research and analyse major players in organised and unorganised segment of soft luggage industry
by comparing them on price and discount disparities.
Deliverables:
• Travelled 35 cities / towns across 3 states, covering nearly 250 Multi Brand Outlets ( MBOs ) and developed a list of
new potential dealers and distributors with their existing merchandise which will help safari to understand the customer
preferences with respect to prices.
• Derived insights from the customer data collected using statistical technique, Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS)
• Developed a qualitative report regarding the problems being faced by the safari dealers and distributors and provided
suggestions towards solving them using the marketing concepts learned in college.
• Designed a marketing plan for launching safari backpacks by mapping the customer requirements collected from the
primary research with the new product features that has to be incorporated.
PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
1. Academic Project [Marketing Analytics, Bencare Insurance Company]
• Applied statistical techniques like factor analysis, casual analytics and identified the drivers of customer loyalty for
the company. Applied Cluster analysis technique to identify various customer segments using different grouping
variables.
• Statistics software SPSS was used for all the analysis carried out.
2. Short Term Project Info Edge India Ltd – 99acres.com
• Conducted Market research activity in Delhi NCR with a primary objective to compare “Top of mind” brand
recall of 99acres vis à vis competition on the basis of a questionnaire that will explore the requirements, habits and
expectations of the end consumer. Received an appreciation and recommendation from Marketing Manager – 99
acres.com for my contribution.
3. Short Term Project Emirates associates
• Prepared a market report for Dubai based air charter client company of emirates associates about the competition
and opportunities and helped them entering the Indian market by providing leads.
