Profile
I am a recent graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in
Criminalistics looking for a position as a chemist. The Chemistry program at York College of
Pennsylvania has exposed me to many different techniques and methods practiced throughout the
chemical industry. I achieved Dean’s List honors during my attendance at York College. I
ultimately want to become a Forensic Pathologist after I experience some time in chemical indus
so I am driven in all things to achieve that goal. I feel I could be very successful in a chemist
position because of my drive for success, my desire to learn as much as possible, my ability to wo
effectively with a group or independently to achieve a goal, and my overall strong interest in the
chemical field.

Helpful Personal Experiences
I volunteered as a coach for many different sports as well as a hospice care facility while in college. I also
recently spent a month in India volunteering at a children’s hostel in January 2014 and then two more
months in August and September of 2014. All of these experiences are very different jobs and have taught
me many lessons. Being a coach, volunteering at the hospice, and living in a third world country have taug
me how to exercise patience. When things don’t go as planned, you always have to be ready to field it and
respond to any situation with grace and integrity. In that same token, I have learned to expect the unexpec
and always be alert. My time in India especially trained me to know the vitality of always being aware of
your surroundings. I have learned to work as a team to accomplish goals. I’ve also learned to communicat
effectively to all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life based on my many diverse experiences. I think the
multiple experiences that I have gained from these jobs will help me greatly in any chemistry related job I
may receive.
