PROJECTS:
Main Project: Experimental Study on High Performance Concrete Using Coconut
Shell.
Description:
The main objective of this project is to access the
utility and efficiency of coconut shell (CS) as a coarse aggregate (CA) and
glass powder (GP) as a fine aggregate as an alternative to natural
aggregate in concrete. We prepared a mix design (M60) for NC & then for a
fully replacement of CS as a CA & partial replacement of GP as a FA. Here,
for reducing the water absorbing property of CS we introduced several
methods of using CS such as RAW MATERIAL, HEATED CS, CEMENT SLURRY COATED
CS, LATEX COATED CS, TILE POWDER COATED CS. Using these we casted several
numbers of cubes, cylinders, beams and they are made for curing then
tested after 7,14 & 28 days. The result of this project is that this kind
of replacement of CA by CS COATED with LATEX can be used for the load
bearing structure.
Mini Project: Analysis & Design of Residential Building.
Description:
This project deals with the planning, analysis and design
of reinforced concrete framed structure of an RESIDENTIAL BUILDING of size
(40" x 60"). It is a single storey (G + 1) building. We used several Indian
Standard codes for this design. Dead Live loads were considered in this
analysis. The proposed residential building is modelled in STAAD Pro
software package. In this study, we have designed SLAB, BEAM, COLUMN,
STAIRE CASE, FOOTING and their reinforcement details are drawn using
AutoCAD
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

COIMBATORE".

? Attended one day workshop on "PREFABRICATED STRUCTURES", organized by
