Key to the relationship with the Japanese parent company, including all aspects of the

technology and product creation and design.

Created a software engineering office in Tallinn, Estonia with approximately 10

engineers. Managed and supported the Estonian office.

Successfully created many products and technologies for OEM and direct sales.

Active member of Island’s Board of Directors.

Island Graphics Corporation, L arkspur, California 1989 –1993

Vice President of Engineering

Responsible for all engineering, quality assurance, technical support and sales

engineering for Island’s Office Products division.

Created dozens of Unix-based software products, including word processors, design

p rograms, Paint programs etc. for both direct sales and OEM customers. This involved

m ultiple concurrent development teams, in California and Amsterdam, creating

p roducts and solutions for several products. At peak, averaged a product release a

week.

Managed 10 support personnel with 18 hour per day telephone, email and in-field

support.

Responsible for approximately 100 engineers and support personnel.

Co-created development and support office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Creator of several software patents applications.

Helped with the spin-off and sale of the Office Products Division.

Managed graphics software development projects for OEM customers, including Sun
