WORK HISTORY & INDUSTRIAL BACKGROUND

Jul 14-Present Welder/Fitter Progress Rail/PMG

Anderson, IN Contract worker inside a facility that

builds locomotives for both domestic and foreign companies. Domestic

companies included Norfolk Southern, Burlington Northern Sante Fe, Canadian

Pacific, Kansas City Southern, and others. Worked in the underframe

department where I welded on both structural and pipe. The piping system

was for all air pressure systems including braking. Welded in the processes

of both SMAW and GMAW. Welded pipe using both E6010 and E7018. Structural

I welded with 3/32 and 1/8 E7018 and 5/32 E7024. Also in structural I

welded MIG using .035, .045, .052 wire size.

Oct 13- Jul 14 Welder Trinity

St. Charles, MO Welded on pipe using 1/16" wire dual shield

FCAW process. Most of the pipe was over 50 inches in diameter up to 108

inches in diameter. Was used as pilings for new bridge construction.

Nov 11- Oct 2013 Welder/Fitter TrailKing

Mitchell, SD Fit and weld hydraulic

goose necks for low boy trailers. Everything was from print. Used .052 hard

wire. All blueprints were on computer.

Feb 10-Nov 11 Welder Hendrickson

Mitchel, SD Welded on suspension

systems for semi-trailers, semi trucks, heavy construction equipment, and

military equipment. Used jigs to fit up the parts to make the components.

Welded using GMAW with .045 wire.

Mar 09-Feb 10 Maintenance/Pipefitter CaravanKnight Facilities

Management Fort Wayne, IN Worked in building maintenance

department. Responsible for all aspects of building upkeep. As a pipefitter

I was not limited to just pipefitting and welding, but did plumbing as well

as all mechanical maintenance. Was responsible for scheduled and preventive

maintenance. Was given a weekly schedule of all scheduled maintenance and

worked on them in order of priority. Also responded to maintenance calls,

such as overhead doors jammed or dock locks not working. Work was performed

in a GM truck plant. Safety was number one priority and policies were in

use that went above OSHA standards. Projects were also given to me and I

had to multi task to ensure all activities were completed.

Mar 07- Mar 09 Welder/Fitter QuickCut Fort

Wayne, IN Fitted and welded Poseidon barges using MIG welders.

Worked from blueprints. Used various grinders, torches, plasma cutter,

forklift, overhead crane, and other hand tools and equipment to complete

the job. Confined space welding

May 05-Mar 07 Welder RW Conklin

Steel Fort Wayne, IN Traveled to

and from several steel yards where I welded on H-piling and pipe piling.

Everything was welded outside in all weather conditions. Had a truck with a

welder/generator and used a suitcase welder with .045 FCAW wire.

Jul 03-May 05 Welder/Fabricator Buehrt Engineering

Warsaw, IN Welded and fabricated from

blueprints. Mostly stainless steel welding building kilns and other ovens

used in manufacturing. Metal thicknesses ranged from 14 gauge to 1 inch

stainless steel.

Worked in a small shop mostly taking care of farmers and oil drilling

companies. Mostly MIG welding but some stick and TIG welding. Most was

repair work. But some was also new fabrication work. Didn't have the luxury

of having an engineer or blueprints.

Springer, OK Welded and fitted tanks used

in the fracking industry. Small amount of fabrication work. Used overhead

cranes. Welded in confined spaces. Welded in all positions. All of it was

MIG welding using .045 wire.

Springfield, MO Responsible for the upkeep of grounds,

buildings, & equipment. Inspected fire extinguishers, buildings, semis &

trucks, cranes, forklifts, balers, & various work stations. Maintained

logs for daily, weekly & monthly scheduled maintenance. Troubleshot

problems that arose on equipment & passed information on to the mechanics.

Operated a forklift to transport materials & equipment.
