PROJECT AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Project:” RFID BASED NETWORKED GATE ENTRY CONTROL SYSTEM”

Brief Description: RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID) is a type of

automatic identification system. The purpose of RFID system is to enable data to

be transmitted by a portable device, called a TAG, which is read by an RFID reader

and processed according to the needs of a particular application. This paper is

about an RFID based smart gate entry control system which is developed for the

employees of an organization and the visitors to supervise and record their entry

related activity. Entire system is developed with low frequency RFID reader,

passive tag & network based application. This device uses an antenna coil to power

the RFID tag and read the induced response from the card. This response is then

filtered and manipulated into useful data and interpreted by the microcontroller

which provides the actual secure access.
