Objective and Summary of Qualifications
I strive to be an energetic and dynamic professional, who has developed a special interest in
treating patients with pelvic pain using a holistic and integrated approach. I aspire to advance
and develop my skill set in treating both the internal and external pelvic structures, viewing the
pelvic unit as a whole, in the hope of achieving more successful outcomes.
Since I graduated, I have actively sought a range of different opportunities and experiences, in
order to develop my skills in the expertise of managing both men and women with complex
pelvic issues. These conditions include pain or inability to engage in sexual intercourse
(including vaginismus and vulvodynia), bladder dysfunction (including urgency, frequency
and pain), incontinence (urinary and faecal), surgical rehabilitation (gynaecological and
prostate surgery), prolapse management and pre/post natal issues (including pelvic, pelvic
floor and pelvic girdle pain). I also believe that my previous psychology degree, gives me the
added advantage of managing and treating chronic pelvic pain disorders, such as; pelvic girdle,
SIJ, coccyx and lower back pain.
My treatments are based on an integrated approach to achieve the best results, and educating
patients so that they maintain control and play an active part in their recovery. My belief is
that the key to beat the pain cycle is to achieve alignment, stability and strength in your body.
This approach aims for long term resolution whereby I use a combination of manual therapy,
Pilates, Yoga and functional strengthening to coach patients to an optimal state of health.
