Project Details:

UPS SCS project deals with testing activity on different UPS applications involved in end to end freight movement like

E2K (Core Freight forwarding application), GHOS (Global Healthcare Office Services), GWS (Global Warehouse

System), SPLUS (Service parts logistics) and ETPS2 (Enterprise Technology Post Sales System) . Project is into

Logistics & Supply Chain management domain based on waterfall model. Project is divided into two parts. One part

deals with testing of applications related to supply chain services provided by UPS to its end clients and other part deals

with testing of applications related to Transportation mode using Air, Ocean, Rail and Trucks. UPS SCS includes

UPS' forwarding and contract logistics operations, UPS Freight, and other related business units. Comprising of barcode

scanning devices testing, Imaging of freight, global warehouse management, etc.

Project Name: UK Business Single Solution Project team size 150

Project Details:

UKBSS is newly launched BT program to offer a user friendly GUI to its end to end customers and all agents. It

basically deals with wire line products and facilitates the provision of the same using different systems and

applications like Openreach for different customer type on single strategic stack. This program will be replacing

the currently used Service Fulfillment system One View with One Siebel CRM. The project has been divided in

various streams like L2C, T2R, Billing, BCP, migration of customer to new stack, etc. We carry E2E testing of

various journeys for various products which will create revenue for the client. The customer billing is done on

the Convergys Geneva system and bill printing is via AMDOCS formatter. The purpose of UKBS project is to

provide a common design and architecture for various products and application to act as single solution for all

BT’s products for provision and after sales service to various customers. Under UKBS I also worked on e Serve

Web Portal which is an online Application provided by the BT to its end customers. Portal provides easy way for

viewing Customer Profile, Invoices, Payment History, Making Payments (DD, Card Payments, and CI), Services

used and other details required by the customer.

Portals: Automated online e commerce order portal, online customer portal (on bt.com), Siebel CRM

application and Agent Desktop application.

Roles and Responsibilities for both Projects:

To gain a thorough understanding of product requirements, analysis and refining of the same

Preparation of High level and low level functional/regression test scenarios consist of positive and negative flows of

software and test data preparation

Active participation in hot house meetings (based in Client Location) for capturing requirements and effective

contribution to achieve right first time initiative

Attending end to end design walkthrough calls, component review calls with active inputs in review meetings

Highlighting the gaps in design or process well in advance during design/development phase

Contribute during design reviews and recommend product improvements

Test scope finalization & test point estimation, managing churn control

Deciding consistent test strategies and approach during test planning phase

Identifying the environment dependencies and test data dependencies during test planning phase and ensure they are

available well in advance before testing commences

Sprint Planning with Delivery Team to ensure the requirements will be available for Testing as per the Sprint Plan

and the complexity of the CE stories

Rapid Impact Analysis for late CR’s, Live defect analysis with RCA of it

Optimizing Functional and Regression test set by Risk Based Testing

High level test set preparation for execution using design, requirements and use cases and to get it reviewed from

E2E designer, process designer, business stake holders and CE leads

Uploading of test cases and defect tracking via HP Quality Centre

Manual Execution of test scenarios as per user story and maintenance of test results

Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.

Work closely with developers and designers for understanding about the issue and work together to solve the issue

and fix them in less time

Perform Sanity Testing, Functional Non Functional Testing, and Regression testing including System/integration

Testing

Involved in CAT/UAT review session cum CAT execution and support for PDT

Involved in peer reviews with team members

Proficient in handling small team size and work on offshore onshore model

Attending bi weekly scrum calls with inputs to progress and resolve any hurdles

Involved in preparing the Daily Execution status report, maintain Test Plan, Traceability Matrix and Test sign off

report and sharing with managers and leads
