Management and Career Milestones

Transportation Insight: After experiencing declining growth rates since the economic slump i n 2009, I

was able to help TI grow from $425 million in 2011 to an annualized run rate of $800 million in 2014.

Transportation Insight: As Vice President of Client Development, I led the implementation of Sales

and Marketing Automation tools that enabled the redeployment of 3 FTEs used for market research.

Transportation Insight: Helped to successfully integrate two acquisitions, CPA Internati onal and

Custom Logistics. CPA clients were integrated as more profitable TI enterprise clients. Custom

Logistics was rebranded and launched as Custom Shipping Solutions and continues to grow well over

~20% month over month.

Transportation Insight: Using the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, led a project to increase

organizational wide competencies and win more business from large enterprise clients. In 2014

number of proposals to large enterprise clients tripled, and the average net revenue for enterprise

clients signed grew from ~$90,000 to $140,000.

Transplace: As Vice President of Lean Six Sigma, I incorporated new metrics and developed an

executive dashboard for the program. In addition to exceeding the program’s process improvement

savings goals (2008: $2,464,000, 2009: $2,465,000), we increased the Green Belt certification rate

from 30% in 2008 to 62% in 2009.

Transplace: As Vice President of Solution Design, I recruited and developed the first solution design

team ever used at Transplace. This included the implementation of new cost models and pricing tools,

enhanced RFP response procedures, and further incorporation of The Complex Sale sales

methodology. The development of this team and improved tools and processes were key to Transplace

having the best financial performance in the company’s history (2009).

Transplace: As Vice President of Operations in one year I exceeded net revenue goals by 21%. I

instituted best practices within two accounts, which allowed for a staff reduction of 13%. For one

account I initiated an impact analysis for the alignment of each supplier’s ship date. This change

enabled 8% savings on inbound transportation spend. For the same account an LTL core carrier

strategy modification resulted in service increase of 1% point on-time pickup and 4% point on-time

delivery.

Transplace: As Vice President of Integration I championed an effort to establish a PMO, which

improved project status visibility, organized project prioritization and resource allocation, and

decreased the overall effort to submit a project request. My team developed and deployed a new

technology that has changed the way shipper’s cover freight not handled by a primary carrier.

J.B. Hunt Logistics: In conjunction with KPMG consulting developed an in-house methodology to

enable a seamless integration of third-party logistics services into a shipper’s day-to-day operations.

This project management methodology, LADDERS, has been recognized in several Logistics industry

periodicals. In 2001 I co-authored a white paper on the benefits of LADDERS through CLM (now

CSCMP). This white paper was also presented at the 2001 CLM Annual Conference.

J.B. Hunt Logistics: As Sr. Implementation Manager I led our division’s Y2K contingency planning

project. This role included the development of a contingency plan unique to each account that would

enable business continuation in the event of systems failure, resource constraints, and social disruption.
