Shipping/ Receiving Clerk
My shipping duties consist of picking and pulling the purchased data
communication parts to be packaged and shipped to the required destinations. I
receive sales orders via email or through the company’s sales order report located
on internet explorer. I pick the sales order on Windows AX, (a program made only
for this company) and I print out the order and go the bin location and pulled the
desired part(s). If a part is out of place or not in stock, I can go into Windows AX and
search our inventory database and track the movement of the part. After that step, I
bring the part(s) back to the shipping area where I verify the part to make sure it is
correct and not damaged. I then packaged the part(s) for shipping. I go back into
Windows AX to print out a packing slip and fill out the shipping info for labels using
UPS.com or our FedEx machine. If a part needs to be tested, I call the company’s
truck to take it to the lab. If a part is leaving directly from our site, I had to schedule
a pick up through UPS or FedEx. I complete the shipment by entering the tracking
number in the system and confirm the pick up when the carrier comes. I fill out
paperwork on the order and do a quality control checklist. I also do transfer orders
from building to building. (Scanning parts in our inventory and send them and the
paperwork to the desired building). I also receive in decommissioned Verizon
equipment into the database (Windows AX) for recycling and reselling.
