Education
Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
Master of Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering Aug 2010 - May 2011
Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN
Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering Aug 2007 - May 2010
Work Experience
GLOBALFOUNDRIES (Malta, NY)
Principal Process Engineer Aug 2011- Present
Process engineer in Contamination Free Manufacturing (CFM) module with focus on Real Time Defect Analysis &
Excursion events. Responsible for developing best known methods for detection, troubleshooting and root cause
identification of drifts in manufacturing processes & tools.
Excursion
Ownership of out of control/excursion events - detection, analysis, root cause, shutdown suspect tool/process &
product disposition.
Team leader for tool defect reduction project for FAB8, GLOBALFOUNDRIES
Worked extensively with modules to reduce defect related excursion events through partition studies.
Developed SOPs (standard operating procedures) for continuous improvement of quality of root cause analysis and
speed of reaction to reduce fab excursion impact.
Formulated and rolled out troubleshooting guides to identify suspect tool/process due to defect related SPC
violations.
Defect Yield Enhancement
Formulated effective inline strategy & methodology for advanced fabrication technologies .
Drove continuous improvement projects to streamline defect monitoring and defect baseline reduction.
Developed & maintained defect matrixes for product performance, yield & reliabil ity.
Successfully supported qualification of advanced technology nodes using Process Window Calculation (PWQ) &
Design Based Binning techniques.
Lean & Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification Project
Decreasing Cycle Time of SEM Vision Tools: Defect data from Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) tools is
critical to identifying & correcting yield issues in the manufacturing line. Through implementation of offline defect
characterization stations, the project focused on driving down cycle time and increasing throughput. This lead to
significant cost savings as the number of tools required to support the manufacturing line reduced.
Dec 2009 – May 2010
Purdue University (Research Assistant to Prof. J.V. Clark)
Area of Research – Ubiquitous Sensing. Research the feasibility of RFID tags as possible security system components
for deployment in grocery stores and shopping outlets.
Purdue University (Teaching Assistant- Modern Mechanics) August - December 2009
Conduct physics recitation classes to aid students in enhancing problem solving skills.
