I would like to apply for your Marketing In ternship in the summer of 2015. I will be
returning to Calgary for the summer, and I hope to both increase my experience in
t he Corporate Communications field, while simultaneously providing the best
services as possible to my employer. I believe my strong academic standing, previous
work experience, and dedicated work ethic will be a positive addition to the fast-
paced work environment at your customer acquisition fi rm.
As a third year student at the University of Toronto with a cumulative GPA of 3.53
on a 4.0 scale, I am accustomed to wri ting, researching, presenting and editing my
own and other’s documents. This has armed with a strong analytical skillset and an
aptitude for creativity that has been applied and improved in the corporate world.
I worked as a Technical Writer In tern at The City of Calgary, where I was
embedded in the In ternal Communications team in the Business Services division. I
was primarily tasked with creating and editing Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs), wri ting articles for our monthly newsletter and Int ranet, as well as
formatting and editing the 2013 Operational Report. I had a diverse array of
i nterdepartmental colleagues in a fast-paced work environment that required me to
adjust to changing deadlines and priorities on short notice.
As Marketing Director for the Translation and Social Science Career Path
Association, I lead a team of eager students in our organization who seek to expand
our membership base. This has required me to complete demographic research and
analysis, identify solutions to budget constraints, and seek new sponsors as well as
maintain professional relationships with existing sponsors.
M y dedicated work ethic and passion for knowledge will prove to be a valuable
addition to your team. I look forward to making innovative contributions and am
t hankful for your consideration.
Sincerely,
A ntonio Bauce

To whom it may concern:
I would like to commend Antonio Bauce for the work he did for me during the
summer of 2014. Tony was instrumental in helping The City of Calgary Roads
business unit bring Standard Operating Procedures, Hazard Assessments and other
materials in our document libraries up to date. Tony was an eager individual who
showed a keen interest in learning and understanding everything; from the routine
day-to-day to the complex tasks he documented.
Tony’s attitude and personality shone through, not only in his work but in his
i nteractions with his peers. He was always seeking out new challenges, and was a
positive force in his work environment. Tony will surely be missed as he returns to
school for the fall, and we look forward to hearing about his future endeavors. I
would highly recommend him to a prospective employer.
Sincerely,
Chr is McGeachy
