Research
Comparison of Electrical Properties of Structural Foams, UM, Oxford, MS
Aug 2014
Studied different measurement methods, calibration techniques and extraction algorithms to
choose the best method for the research. Decided upon transmission line method to meet particular
specifications including form of samples used and waveguide section sample holders.
Measured samples of polymethacrylimide structural foams over the frequency range of 1.7
GHz to 26.5 GHz for their electrical properties. Analyzed the data of each sample subjected to
different lab conditioning procedures.
Monitored and analyzed the S-parameter data obtained using Agilent N5242 PNA-X, vector
network analyzer.
Developed formula sheets to calculate dielectric constant and loss tangent from the S-
parameters. Plotted and presented the comparisons of samples based on density, grade and
conditioning procedures to aid industry and individuals to choose material best suited for their
intended applications.
Automatic Vehicle Plate Recognition using OCR, JBIET, India
Jun 2011
Designed an artificial vision system which is able to analyze the image of a car given by a
camera, locate the registration plate and recognize the registration number of the car.
