CONSULTANT NEW PRODUCTS DESIGN & MANUFACTURING ENGINEER,

Undertaking of the Design and Engineering of Intellectual Property related

project work for corporate and other private individuals needing assistance

with their inventions.

The general research, Inventing, 3D Solid Modeling, 3D FDM ABS Prototype

Printing & ABS tool making, engineering drawings, BOM's, technical

assistance with the Patent application and manufacturing processes.

Just recently completed 2-1/2 years of associated 3D design work for 2 and

highly regarded US Injection-Molding and manufacturing companies assisting

in processing more than 50 separate projects relating to many different

2003 to 2009

CONSULTANT NEW PRODUCTS DESIGN & MANUFACTURING ENGINEER,

Contracted to continue the conception and the full engineering of new

innovative and patentable products for the future market growth

requirements of the company, whilst maintaining continuous engineering

support by liaising with both the US and Chinese vendors to ensure

consistent quality of the existing products.

Accompany the company owner to China for structured engineering related

meetings with vendors to discuss and initiate new projects whilst checking

up on production of existing products.

* Maintaining responsibility to produce detailed engineers drawings and

providing all supporting documentation required for the vendors to

produce the components and the finished assemblies for all of the new

products. Ultimately a very high product standard has been realized due

to the very detailed information initially supplied to them.

* Responsibility to initiate and undertake prototype construction of all

newly designed products and to supply all 3D visual-aid graphics with the

features and benefits information and costing estimates of the new

products that the owners and the Sales and Marketing team can then

collectively evaluate before moving forward.

* Due to limited company engineering personnel budget, had the sole

responsibility to create all of the new products individual detailed part

engineering drawings and maintain well in excess of 500 individual other

solid-model & part CAD drawing files plus 100's of 3D assembly files and

B.O.M documents to bring products to market quicker and saving thousands

of dollars in drafting costs.

* Maintained complete responsibility for preparing all preliminary

documentation for Provisional & Non-Provisional Patent applications of

the conceived and finally produced products. By doing this a minimum 50%

reduction in patent cost was realized for the company by limiting

unnecessary attorney fee's.

* Undertaken continued responsibility for QC inspecting all newly designed

1st samples and initial testing of products to the appropriate levels

before any production run commences. The result has been that product

reject issues particularly with Chinese made items are immediately dealt

with and corrected before any production runs, saving time and money for

the company.

* Ongoing duty to fully liaise on a regular basis with supplying US &

Chinese vendors which ensures that product quality level does not

deteriorate from the initial high level that I set.

2000 to 2002

NEW PRODUCTS DESIGN & MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Initially only retained for a 12month period to serve as acting product

engineer working with the buyers own personnel and vendors during the

initial company acquisition, production and training transitional period.

Effectively and efficiently supplied CNC machined and other processed

components on schedule to suit the continued sales demand of the products.

* Successfully redesigned and transitioned existing product components that

were being mostly produced in the USA by expensive CNC machines over to

the casting, injection molding, stamping and extrusion manufacturing

methods in order to actually reduce finish product costs whilst improving

the product quality.

* Outsourcing engineering representative liaising with the US & Chinese

factories which included necessary factory visits to ensure that the

Chinese were suitability complying to the high standards set. The

personal factory visits minimized the initial quality-control problems

with Chinese vendors.

1996 to 1999

PRESIDENT/OWNER

Founded and operated the Sport-Fishing Products company and immediately

identified a Worldwide market demand for innovative new products that have

since set a product trend within the Sport Fishing arena. Grasped the

opportunity to R&D, solely design, engineer and manufactured over 200

separate components to bring the newly conceived products immediately to

the market.

* Designed, patented, manufactured and introduced the very 1st Quick-action

Telescopic-Outrigger and the Bolt-In 'G-Slam' Top Mount on the market

which have both since gone on to be the most widely used Outriggers and

Bases type of products used on Sport Fishing vessels today.

* Trained on and Introduced CNC machinery into the manufacturing operation

for improved efficiency, with an ultimate cost reduction of the products

manufacturing costs.

* Designed and implemented a labor saving punch-press design to increase

productivity in the Outrigger production assembly line. This machines

hole punching concept is now widely used in other facilities.

* Grew profits by over 400% to $1m in gross sales in only a 3year period

with a total of only 3 full time employees.

* Sold the company for a profit and proceeded to devote time to designing

more innovative products.

1991 to 1995

TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE / ENGINE COMPONENTS

Effectively took on the responsibilities of a replacement Technical Sales

support liaison representative in the US for the Australian based owner and

manufacturer of Internal engine components during the Vandervell / ACL

transition.

Consistently maintained a high level of customer technical sales product

support for all existing and new customers and performed

daily interaction with Tasmanian factory engineers whilst simultaneously

assisting in the immediate 4mth compilation deadline of creating a new US

product catalog that resulted in it being a very technical and informative

catalog, featuring new ideas personally added in that customers gladly

accepted as it assisted them in their work.

* Represented the Atlanta based operation at numerous Performance & Race

Car trade show events all over the country developing new customers for

the companies product line. Significantly helped in establishing new

customer accounts within the USA and overseas.

* Responsible for all warranty issues requiring immediate action and

liaised with the factory to correct any problems with any product

produced.

* Extremely proficient at undertaking engine bearing inspections and

compiling detailed analysis reports for Race-Engine builders in the

Nascar, NHRA/IHRA dragster and off-shore racing boat industry among

others which significantly helped the customer with their racing-engine

programs.

* Undertake regular customer support visits to particular clients engine-

building facilities all over the US. Perform technical presentations to

the client's sales teams in order to formally train them in technology

related issues.

* To indentify possible target markets for new product applications within

the automotive industry and then to follow through with all the relevant

US company departments and the off-shore factory to bring the new

application successfully to market.
