WORK SUMMARY:
I have over 12 years of experience working with the federal government that
included weekly and monthly meetings for status and projections. I have
over 19 years of management experience that includes program management,
procurement, manufacturing, (up to 45-fte), task estimating, scheduling
multiple tasks over 30 or more (1500 line items) at a time using MS
Project, (tracking resource loading, milestones, level of effort, critical
path, and schedule recovery). Management included interviews for new hires,
reviews, career direction, and team building. I tracked the financials that
included budget, burn rate, estimate to complete, identify cost savings,
and performed task closeout. I also held weekly meetings with the
Logistician, Mechanical and Electronic Engineers, Quality Control and the
Fabrication team. I also have 20 years of experience in the electronics
repair and testing field. Multi-tasking is one of my strong attributes.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
08/04 to 3/21/14: Project Manager and Task Lead, Science Applications
International Corporation SAIC/Leidos
I was assigned as Program Manager for the Steelyard contract (65M) and the
previous contract MES/SSD. The team and I were able to increase the yearly
burn rate from 2 million to 12 million and the contract value was 24M at
award and 41M at closeout in the Special Hardware Engineering Division of
NSA. I was responsible for various Geolocation system and Reference
emitters builds (RF, CDMA, GSM, and Router). My responsibilities included
manufacturing, pricing the task, scheduling, resource management, customer
and team status meetings, PWB layout, PWA fabrication, module assembly,
system assembly and testing, active inventory control. I worked with the
Electronics Engineer's, Design Drafting, Quality Control, Logisticians,
Shipping and the Fabrication team.
04/01 to 08/04: Operations Manager/Technical Director, Red-D-Arc Equipment
Company
As the Operations Manager my responsibilities were to set up and establish
clientele for a new Welding Equipment Rental Company. After one year the
revenue was over 1 million dollars and after 3 years over three million. I
also coordinate and expedite equipment orders out of the United States and
Canada. I was also responsible for project management, scheduling, tracking
equipment, prophet, customer concerns, and staff management. I was
responsible for the hiring of new employee's and yearly reviews. As the
Technical Director I was responsible for employee technical training,
customer technical seminars and implementing a training program for safety
and new products.
09/99 to 04/01: Service Manager, Weld World, Inc.
I managed the customer needs regarding equipment orders, equipment
problems, quality control, and resolving any complaints that the customer
may have. I had to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and work
with the manufacturer regarding warranty issues. I also supported the
customers with layout, fabrication, assembly, design and cost reductions. I
also scheduled and tracked equipment orders, replacement parts, and handled
customer concerns. I also worked on a government contract for 1.5 years at
the Aberdeen Proving Grounds that covered the purchase of new equipment,
equipment repair and training of government personnel.
