Projects: LT PVC Tape Insulation Ring Type Current Transformers.

Polarity test:(Routine test)

* Checked as per terminal markings & found correct.

* The routine test are intended to check the quality of the individual

test piece.

* The routine test are done to ensures the reliability of the test

objects and quality and consistency of the material used in their

manufacture.

High voltage test:

* High voltage power frequency one minute with stand test

* With stood 3.0 KV between primary to secondary & earth.

* With stood 3.0 KV between secondary to primary & earth.

* The over voltage may be either due to natural causes like lightning or

power frequancy transient voltage.

Inter turn insulation test:

* Over voltage inter turn test.

* Practical discharge test.

* Reduce core saturation.

* Limit the charging (i) necessary.

* Check the insulation with stand strength.

Ratio & Phase angle error test:

* Chopped lighting impulse test.

* Measurement of dielectric dissipation factor for oil immersed current

transformer.

Protection current transformer:

* The ratio,phase angle & composite errors have been measured and are

found within the limits.
