* Grind out defects identified at the inspection tables and contour their grinds to the pipe
curvature. The ground areas are then checked with a handheld ultrasonic meter (DM4)
that checks for remaining wall thickness. Pipe with too little remaining wall thickness
has either the grinded area marked for cutting off or the pipe is marked and classified as
yellow band.
* Burner- Using fire protective wear, burn/cut out test pieces in each lot with cutting
torches. Then log pieces in computer for verification.
