1. Senior ITS Engineer, ITSPE Mar 2013 – Apr 2014
Intelligent Transportation Systems:
• Responsible for delivery and Project Management of consultancy projects in the field of Intelligent Transport
Systemslike Intelligent Transportation System design of Qatar for the Conceptual, Detailed and Final Design
stages.
As part of QATAR ITS Design by Gannett Fleming Inc (Doha), ITSPE worked as a sub-consultant in
the delivery of the design using ASHGHAL ITS Deployment Manual, Civil and Structural standards for
ITS and ITS Specifications. The team of ITSPE consisted of myself, Technical lead, 3 ITS Engineers, 3
Junior ITS Engineers, 3 AutoCAD draftpersons.
This included daily calls with GF team along with Technical lead, Raise the RFI’s and getting the
delivery of Conceptual, Detailed and Final Design.
The conceptual design was based on the given Concept of Operations (developed by Gannett Fleming
Inc). The deliverables included the Project layout (listing of the devices in each plan), Site plans (listing
the ITS devices), Elevations (detailing the placement of various ITS devices), Bill of Quantities, etc.
The detailed design was finalized after comments from client and providing more details like chainages
of exact location of devices, device Ids, electrical connections, splice diagrams, power calculations,
construction notes, step-up / step-down transformers etc.
The final design was finalized after comments from the client.
Road Safety
• Technology assisted Road Safety Audit of SH-1: Kazhakkoottam – Adoor section to present the audit findings in
a GIS Interface, indexed by the geo-coordinates of the road safety deficiencies along with the recommendations
and evidence in the form of day and night video files.

Intelligent Transportation Systems:
• Involved in research & development of an online application for an Android OS based tablet computer for
Accident Data Recording on Site for Police Personnel. A comprehensive list of accident information regarding
Site conditions of Road, Vehicles, Drivers, Damage caused, location (GPS enabled), evidence for adjudication
was prepared to enable it to aid in Black Spot Studies and hence reduce the road fatalities. The data was
compiled using National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) data format.
Traffic Engineering:
• Involved in the preparation of Detailed Project Reports, Proposals, Traffic Engineering Projects, Transportation
Planning Projects, Prebid advisory / Pretendering Consulting services and support / advisory in Independent
Consultant Projects for National Highway Authority of India.
• Involved in the Planning and Execution of Road Safety Assessment of roads under Odisha Works Department
(OWD). This task is part of a Multi-Sectoral Road Safety Action Plan which involves collection of accident
legacy data, road safety assessment of 2000 km road stretch, assessment of road safety management capacity and
responsibility framework and capacity building in road safety for OWD.

Traffic Engineering:
• Involved in the data collection efforts, data reduction efforts, preparation of traffic impact reports (Using HCM)
for construction impacts, evaluating impacts to traffic during stages of construction etc. for NJDOT, NYDOT,
NJDEP, Municipalities, Counties etc.
• Involved in preparation of the Traffic Plans, Specifications (aligned with AASHTO), Estimates and Quantities for

Traffic Engineering:
• Involved in data collection, data reduction, traffic control plans in AutoCAD (Client: Port Authority of NY &
NJ).

• Designated Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte, responsible for the development of a simulation model of the UNC
charlotte campus road network. This study suggested alternate routes to reduce traffic congestion during high volume
generating events on campus.
