Project Title : License Plate Recognition System.

Role : Actively involved in Designing & Testing of Project.

Technologies : Fuzzy Theory, BP Neural Network, MATLAB.

Synopsis:

License Plate Recognition System (LPR) is an important part of an

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).. This work adopts image processing

methods that has been proved is mature and efficient. Using Back

Propagation Neural Network recognizes characters, and using K-L transform

to reduce neural network training time. This paper uses advantages of edge

detection and Back Propagation Neural network (BP neural network)

recognition methods to implement an algorithm to improve recognition

success rate and reduce computing time by using K-L transform and adding a

hidden layer.
