2002-May 2014 ITW Zip PAK inc - Spring Valley, NY Bring raw materials from warehouse to production floor making sure resin labels and lot numbers are specific to the product and any vacuum hoses coming from silos with resin to production are correct. Set up extrusion line(s) making sure all manual gauges such as speed and preset read outs such as temperature are correct. In the event the lines were up and running I performed spot QA checks of previous shifts finished product. Keep a production log and retain samples of finished products recording the results in a computer. Perform routine inspection of production area to make sure all AIB ISO9000 SQF Six Sigma protocols are adhered to. Make adjustments to production line to maintain quality assurance and safety.
Report irregularities or line abnormalities to maintenance or making minor repairs as needed.
Use hand held micrometers, table micrometers, calipers, electrical microscopes, and electrical tensile textile strength measuring machines.
Make sure all QA equipment was properly maintained and calibrated.
