Wireless Sensor Networks: Android – Python programming to remotely control a device.
The Android app was a remote for a device, which consisted of a track and an object (a device); the
object moved by using sonar readings.
Used Java client and Python server to communicate Android app and sonar
Configured/Programmed the sonar using software called Arduino to see whether it outputted
readings
Pyserial had to be imported to Python so that a serial connection from the Arduino could be made
as well as obtained values from the serial port
Created a network protocol between two computers using socket programming (client-server
programming) to transmit messages on computers
