Project

For automation of configuration, a Service level standard structure needs

to be defined. This structure could be implemented in a system which would

receive parameters from order management and users and automatically

configure the service in the network. The system would provide an interface

where users can select and update features or parameters of the service. If

a standard service is involved the system can automatically update the

values based on business rules. For each Service created in the system an

instance of the structure would be created which stores the information

related to that service. This could be termed as a Service Inventory. The

user interface to the Service Inventory would be the CSS( Config Spec

sheet). Users would be able to view & update parameters in the Service

Inventory through the CSS.

This solution will implement a Service inventory management

system using a Data Integration and Master data management

tool. These tools are available commercially off the shelf and can be

customized based on needs. Such a tool will provide a place where

Services can be defined as Business Entities.

Project

The Billing operations team receives handover of orders

from OPAT, IRT, Billing Assurance, M6, Liferay and others. Currently the

order upload is manual onto a system called vBill. With this project,

billing team wants to automate the inflow of orders, auto task allocation

to team and tracking of the entire order lifecycle.

Similarly there is a portal called TVP which is being used by OPAT for

order tracking upto handover to billing. The tracking of the activities

will also be covered as a part of this scope for making it a complete End

to End flow (order handover to invoice dispatch).

There are multiple touch points on Geneva which leads to difficulty in

tracking and MIS presentation. Also work allocation and task level tracking

is present, but that is not integrated with Upstream or Geneva systems

leading to manual interventions at most stages.

GDMS OPAT Billing Workflow Management Tool delivers the OPAT and Billing.

Operations Team, the capability of order management post order entry up to

invoice dispatch.

Following are the salient points:

. Creating an End-to-End Workflow Management system for National &

International Orders.

. Single System for Billing and OPAT

. Common View of Order data across various teams.

. Seamless information flow between various teams and will help in

removing the manual handovers.
