Selected Accomplishments

Avoided major loss. DS2 was handling possession, transportation, storage, installation and recovery of

explosives at Tyndall Air Force Base when management received an order from DOT to stop-and-desist operations.

Sought and received immediate temporary relief. Initiated and oversaw a comprehensive audit, and took swift

corrective actions. Secured two-year permit to continue operations, preserving a multi-million account.

Minimized losses, avoided fines. Upon discovery that a 13,000-gallon fuel truck was leaking into a storm drain,

took control of remediation activities at DS2, Sheppard Air Force Base. Coordinated activities among Federal and

State entities. Led negotiations resulting in no fines being levied while containing remediation costs to $840K.

Cut hazardous waste 30% as production doubled. For American Eurocopter (AEC), consolidated the

purchasing and handling of materials (departments previously operated independently). Negotiated better pricing.

Reduced the amount of hazardous waste generated and streamlined inventory tracking required for compliance.

Attained ISO 9001:2000 certification. Oversaw the documentation of all processes with each AEC department.

Established and promulgated product, procurement, delivery and quality acceptance criteria. In 18 months from

inception of the project, earned ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, giving AEC a competitive edge.

Slashed workers comp cases. For Lockheed, conducted investigations revealing root cause s of WC cases in the

F-16, F-22, and F-35 manufacturing areas. Closed 350 outstanding cases, minimizing liabilities. Implemented

corrective actions that reduced potential future injuries by 20%.
