support audits of Incurred Costs for government accounting. This is an

out-of-system 3-step process that creates / reviews memos and enters

the information into the METDB; the data is compiled to substantiate

the prior year's cost, exported to Excel, and formatted.

o Increased efficiencies and minimized errors by utilizing in-depth

knowledge of various systems and associated data to generate special

reports that present all information in 1 report and eliminate the

need for additional analysis or data manipulation.

o Employed advanced data mining techniques to pinpoint areas of concern

for the auditing and accounting management team; customized these

techniques for each request.

o Instrumental in improving productivity of the accounting staff by

1000%. Streamlined a process that had taken 10 hours and reduced the

time required to perform the work to 1 hour.

o Re-engineered processes and instituted new systems to support the

phasing-out of the accounting team.

generating SOX audit reports.

database that identified discounts that had not been applied by AP and

integral part of the accounting system. This database replaced

spreadsheets that had been maintained manually during the 1st 5 years

Designed, tested, and instituted a reporting structure that aligned with

Accounts Payable procedures and utilized Cognos Reporting Systems. Applied

analytical methodologies to expedite discrepancy issues on purchase orders.

Collaborated with the Procurement and Logistics Departments to settle
