PROJECT WORK

“Formulation and Evaluation of ITRACONAZOLE IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAPSULES

Description: The aim of the present study was to develop stable formulation of Itraconazole

immediate release capsules over Itraconazole, a synthetic triazole antifungal agent, In-Vitro

inhibits the cytochrome P450-dependent synthetic of ergosterole, which is a vital component of

fungal membranes. Thus, it exhibits a broad spectrum of activity Candida spp. And other yeasts

dermatophytes and pathogenic fungi. Indications claimed for orally administered Itraconazole

formulations are e.g. vulvovaginale candidiasis, pityriasis vesicular, Depending on the indication

and the mycological response 100-400mg of Itraconazole are administered for a period of 1 day

to several weeks.
