SENIOR SYSTEM DESIGN VERIFICATION & AUTOMATION ENGINEER
An innovative system verification and automation engineer provides leadership in developing and enhancing technology
products to improve performance and reliability as well as enables achievement of business goals. Contributes to the full
product development lifecycle, from testing to product launch. Excels in identifying areas of concern and formulating
strategies to overcome quality and production issues. Provides excellent customer service and optimizes top/bottom-lines.
SELECT CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
• Developed a novel VB based RF test framework that incorporated a novel RF attenuator and related tests that
would capture cellular protocol stack (l1/l2) deficiencies in fast signal drop conditions .
• Created, supported, and executed test plans for full stack software for new features like DualSim on
trimode devices; led 24/7 automated test processes based on both UNIX and Windows platforms and a version
control tool Perforce, for continuous build and testing of software releases.
• Served as lead integrator for a software module to upgrade the firmware on a mobile device over-the-air;
led integration of flash drivers, boot loader, and related interfaces with cell phone OS and tool chain support and
obtained a patent on improvements to traditional algorithms.
• Authored several articles in peer-reviewed international publications related to computer engineering.
PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
BROADCOM 2007-2014
SENIOR STAFF SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER
• Proved to be a vital member of the system verification team; overseeing debugging and testing of new generations
of mobile devices based on GSM, GPRS, EGPRS, 3G, LTE technologies.
• Served as a software release lead for modem software to internal development and test teams and oversaw
conformance testing of mobile platforms using in-house testing equipment.
• Designed VB based frameworks for automated execution of in-house test case and supported/executed an over-
the-air field test framework and process that helped immensely in reducing field and customer issues; increased
reliability and allowed teams to integrate new processes as an essential part of their regression test frameworks.
• As a software configuration management lead for modem development team, created process guidelines for code
management and efficiently maintained several code baselines pertaining to different products and clients.
SPIRENT COMMUNICATIONS 2006-2007
MEMBER OF TECHNICAL STAFF
• Served on a team that developed and maintained a VB based control framework for automated cell phone test
systems, comprising of base-station emulators (Agilent 8960), channel emulation systems (Spirent 5500), spectrum
analyzers (Agilent 4401), CDMA/EVDO emulators (Spirent 3460/3452).
• Added new features to the framework and fixed several customer reported issues; also helped identify the root
cause for an RF issue which had previously gone unresolved.
