Dear Hiring manager,
I am writing to apply for the ‘Research Technician’ position that is posted on the Dana Farber Cancer
Institute career website. I am a recent graduate with Master’s in Biomedical Sciences and a
specialization in Drug Delivery Systems from Northeastern University. I have excellent academic
background on Cancer Biology, cell biology and Drug delivery systems in addition I also have over
twenty months of experience as Research Associate at Dr. Vladimir Torchilin’s lab. I believe that my
experience, skills and passion will make me a strong fit for this position.
My Master’s program at Northeastern University gave me strong analytical abilities and lab skills which
got me selected as Graduate Research Associate at ‘The Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and
Nanomedicine.’ I advanced my research and presentation skills while being a team member of this
strong research driven center. I gained experience in formulating and evaluating various Nano -drug
delivery systems. Working with ‘Antibody loaded formulations’ gave me ample opportunity to work on
Cell culture, Cell based assays, ELISA, Western blot, gel electrophoresis, chromatography and Animal
handling, which I believe are transferrable to current position. In addition, my critical thinking ability to
convert abstract data into PowerPoint and Word brought me compliments from peers.
Before joining Northeastern, I worked as a Summer Intern for Matrix Laboratories in India. It provided
me an opportunity to learn and work on Large scale manufacturing and Quality control units and also
record keeping.
As a young scientist I wish to make a positive difference in cancer therapy through my knowledge. I am
confident that I can bring my experience in cancer drug targeting and contribute to th e mission of Belfer
Institute in fight against Cancer. I would appreciate meeting with you to discuss my candidacy. Thank
you for your time and consideration. I will look forward for your response.
Yours sincerely,
Arjun Reddy Bollampalli
