ENGINEERING TECHNICAL SKILLS
MATLAB, SolidWorks 3D CAD
REVELENT CLASS EXPERIENCE
Bioengineering Capstone Design
Worked with a team of students in conjunction with the Center for Disability Services (CDS) to solve problem s with disabled
patient’s wheelchair.
Worked closely with patient and caretakers to narrow problem and applied engineering techniques to make improvements
including redesign of footrest and armrest components.
Presented proposed solutions to large audience including representatives from Center for Disability Services for approval to
implement solutions.
Advanced Mechanics
Studied the behavior of materials subjected to various types of loads include axially–loaded members, shafts in torsion, thin
shells, beams, columns, and structures that are assemblies of these components.
Analyzed stress, strain, and displacement produced by the loads.
Orthopedic Biomechanics
Explored the current state of knee, dental, spinal, and other orthopedic implants as well as bone lengthening procedures.
Lead class in lecture on bone fractures; fracture healing process, and available treatments using scientific literature.
Mechanobiology
Analyzed physical forces at the cellular, tissue, and organ level and how they relate to mechanical regulation of cellular
behavior, tissue growth, and organ development.
Individually researched and analyzed in depth the scientific literature on the human foot including the adaptive effects and
mechanical differences with respect to barefoot and shod running.
Bioengineering Dynamics
Solved problems with kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies in planar motion with applications to human
motion analysis.
Tested and compared flow dynamics and shear stress for blood flowing through various model heart valve replacements.
Tested and compared the viscous and inertial drag coefficients and Reynolds numbers of swimming fro gs of various lengths
to analyze their relation with animal size.
EXPERIENCE
Manager; Nauti Jane’s Boat Rentals, Chatham, MA Summer 2009-2014
Responsible for day to day business operations.
Managed employees so that tasks were completed correctly and in a timely fashion.
Pitched and advised prospective customers on lesson and rental options.
Developed lesson plans and trained a broad demographic of clients interested in learning to sail or safely operate power
vessels.
Executed administrative tasks for maintaining personal customer data.
Performed maintenance on a fleet of 15 vessels including basic engine work, fiberglass repair, and sailboat rigging.
Designed and built motorized mechanical Pig Roast Spit Summer 2013
Used self-learned metal fabrication and welding techniques.
Used parts found at a junkyard to reduce 1500 rpm motor to spin pig at about 2 rpm.
Wayland Weston Pop Warner Football, Wayland MA 2006-2008, 2011
Coached and mentored 25 nine and ten year olds in the fundamentals of football.
