Diebold is implementing Oracle Applications eBusiness Suite R12 globally to
handle its Finance, Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Logistics, Services
and Planning operations. This implementation will be carried out on a new
instance in phased manner. The first phase of implementation will include
core Finance implementation for US, Canada and Brazil, and it will
subsequently be rolled out to other geographies and business functions in a
phased manner.
The identified master and transactional data needs to be brought into the
new R12 instance from the existing Oracle R11i production instance and
different other data sources (Legacy systems). In order to ensure a smooth
and seamless transition, data from the existing system will be migrated
into the new system at the time of cutover. This document covers the
Migration Strategy for converting the data from the existing system(s) into
new system.

Oracle11i Upgrade project for CISCO Systems Oct

This project involved ASIS migration of 11.0.28 version
of Oracle Apps objects to 11.5.9 version of Oracle Apps. This upgrade
involves conversion of forms, which are in form4.5 version to forms6i
version using a tool flint60, fixing up the errors that were given during
the conversion process. Standard, Custom and cloned Objects of OM, OSM and
Inventory modules where upgraded to 11i. This process included up gradation
of custom forms from 4.5 to 6i by application of flint60 to the lower
version forms whereas the up gradation of the cloned forms included an
extra process of application of changes manually to the higher version of
standard forms. The reports and libraries were compiled in the higher
version and placed in the appropriate 11i top directories.
