• Researched environmental system indicators for global index of human impacted land area
using remotely sensed and GIS data layers for the Environmental Sustainability Index (ESI).
The ESI Index appeared in The Economist (2001 and 2000).
• Co-authored proposal for global mapping of wilderness areas that lead to funding. Paper
accepted to Bioscience, October 2002.
