Responsible for assisting site technicians in troubleshooting and
maintaining telecommunication connectivity to include SATCOM, voice
switching, Promina and ATM multiplexers, VTC equipment, and routers and

Complete support of medium sized multimedia communication systems. I am
responsible for an independent node on the DOA network, from the satellite
link to the end user. Services include LAN, VOIP, and VTC/SVTC's. My
duty is to operate, maintain and upgraded all equipment included in the
package.
I log transmission statistics on a continuing basis, perform scheduled peak
and polls, and make adjustments in satellite positing, and modem
configuration, in coordination with our carrier and distant end. I
coordinated moved and installed a 2.4m fly away dish, redirected the dish
and conduct peak and polls in coordination with our carrier and distant
end. I was also responsible for daily OTARs and performed monthly key
reload.
Upgrades included replacing the Exchange Server, Domain Controller and
Power Vault. Administered AD, security Groups, and Distribution Groups I
configured and replaced several switches, including the core switch. I
reused two of the older servers to add a Tool Box server to act as the WUS
server.
I was responsible for the configuration and security of all servers and
work stations, perform monthly STAT and Retina scans, report and fixed all
vulnerabilities. I performed scheduled updates and configured Taclane's
for SIPRnet and SVTC's.
I relocated the site two times during my time in Iraq to include all
systems, satellite dish and wiring.
