Duties and Responsibilities:

. Prepares patient for medical imaging procedures as appropriate to

prescribed procedure; assists patients at the end of procedure.

. Operates all assigned machines and/or equipment properly during the

conduct of the procedure. Adjusts parameters on the equipment, and

reviews calibration to assure the scans are reproducible under similar

conditions.

. Ensures the accurate timing and proper positioning of patients to get

the desired imaging results.

. Based on relevant policies procedures and guidelines. Determines

appropriate methodology and techniques to use in administering

procedures; calibrates and adjusts equipment as appropriate; adjusts

shields; selects appropriate film or film printing device.

. Follows prescribed procedure in the administration of medical imaging;

determines appropriate calibrations and/or techniques, arranges

immobilization and/or support services.

. Develops or prints film as appropriate, in accordance with proper

photographic techniques.
